What do you enjoy the most, working in the field of construction & development?
Development has the ability to make an impact on the landscape of a city for years to come – I most enjoy being a part of the creative process in redefining how buildings are planned for the new residents, the community and how they will sustain for the future.
Where do you see life in the next 5 years, what possibilities are ahead of you?
In 5 years, I’ll have 3 daughters in high school! I see our business Fiducia scaling into a development space that provides both luxury housing and also sustainable housing in urban in-fill areas of Sydney. Meeting the needs of more affordable housing through a model of upscale co-living buildings.
If you could write a letter to a 13-year-old ‘you’ what would you say?
Dear Marie,
Don’t be so hard on yourself.
Take time out to do things you love.
Be nice to your parents, they will be there for you many times in life.
Eat all the ice cream you want.
Make your bed every morning as consistency will create new habits.
Laugh with your friends.
Support your sisters.
Go outside every day and be grateful.
When you do decide to trade your time for money – find your passion in your work and let this drive you. Invest your extra money in property – add value.
Help others, your community and your family.
Give back.
Dream big and don’t settle. Anything is possible.
Travel, explore and be open to new experiences as they provide you inspiration for life and work.
Surround yourself with people who are better than you.

What are 3 skills you have had to develop to get to where you are presently?
- Perseverance: the ability to get back up time and time again – even when things don’t go to plan.
- Knowledge: constantly learning and developing skills in planning, architecture, legal, marketing, raising capital and sales.
- Trust: in the property market you have to have faith and trust in people, the market and what you are creating.
