2026’s Top 100 Women nominations are now open! Th 2026’s Top 100 Women nominations are now open! The theme for this year is ‘Adaptation” Nominate today a woman you believe should be listed in 2026’s Top 100 Women In Construction. Whether these women are just starting out, or in senior leadership, the annual Top 100 List provides our peers with an opportunity to be recognised for their contribution to the sector in what has been extremely testing times. With nominations coming GLOBALY, we encourage you to put forward your colleagues across all facets of construction regardless of level or category as we recognise the persistent and tireless effort of those who kept showing up in an ever shifting, and evolving market. Meet our #WomanOfTheWeek — Cassandra. 🔨 @tradieca Meet our #WomanOfTheWeek — Cassandra. 🔨 @tradiecass Cassandra is proof that backing yourself can change the course of your career. “After a decade-plus on-site, I got tired of being the final touch on someone else’s vision. I wanted to be the one building the structure.” On taking the leap: When the opportunity to move into carpentry came along, she trusted her instincts and went for it. “Life’s short, and I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason.” On knowing her worth: “In this industry, nobody just hands you a raise because you’re doing a great job.” After 13 years of experience, Cassandra stopped asking for permission and started stating her value. She later accepted a union journeyman caulker position, recognising the importance of long-term security and a pension. On the ‘good girl’ trap: “Early on, I thought being the one who never complained and always cleaned up after everyone else would get me noticed. It only made me invisible.” On confidence: “My confidence doesn’t come from being perfect. It comes from knowing that if something goes wrong, I have the skills to make it right.” On ruffling feathers: “If you’re a woman in the trades who is competent and firm, you will ruffle feathers—it’s unavoidable. That’s usually someone else’s ego reacting to your excellence.” 💙 Real women. Real careers.
