Who inspired you to get where you are today and what is your greatest accomplishment?
The reason for my chosen career stems back to my childhood. I am the daughter of a builder and have 2 brothers who are both builders, therefore it would be fair to say that it’s in my blood. Earlier in my career, I worked at Reeve, Harvey Norman Commercial and Britex (now Hettich). I have been extremely lucky to work with such great companies that have not only have given me an opportunity to excel, but also the opportunity to remain in the workforce at the same time as being a mum.
I find building construction, supply and specify work very rewarding. In my current role, I travel throughout NSW, therefore, the role gives me the variety of both office and face to face interaction with architects and builders.
I am simply driven by meeting deadlines, sticking to budgets and thrive when I am allocated tasks. I constantly challenge myself.
I not only follow suit of what other employees have done before me but make every effort to take it to the next level, everything must be interesting and exciting.
I love that Hettich is a German manufactured and family owned business and they understand the challenges faced by women in the workplace. I love that my colleagues and managers are enthusiastic, ethical, self-confident and have a positive attitude to make Hettich stand out from our competitors.
