Who inspired you to get where you are today?
My mentors are those who have inspired me throughout my career in Architecture, working in offices in Australia, Brazil, Mexico and Germany. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it hadn’t been for them recognising my potential and presenting me with opportunities to challenge and prove myself.
Who inspired you to get where you are today & what’s your greatest accomplishment & why?
My greatest accomplishment to date is my recent widely published book, Architectural Guide Australia, which presents over 200 projects that represent the major moments in Australia’s architectural history. Each chapter is dedicated to one of the nation’s eight state capitals and includes interviews with some of Australia’s most influential architects as well as contributions by Harry Seidler, John Gollings and David Bridgman. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to share my two years of research on Australian Architecture with others in this consolidated guide and to have learnt so much in the process. The response I have received has been extremely rewarding, particularly the feedback that it has been the most sold architecture book 2 months in a row at The Architects Bookshop in Sydney, has sold 4x more than any bestselling architecture book and is available for purchase at the Sydney Opera House. I hope to continue leaving my mark in one form or another within the industry.
