What do you enjoy the most, working in the field of Construction & Development?
Being the only female CEO in my industry I have enjoyed being part of creating the diversity in a male dominated world. Women have such amazing attributes and can thrive in any business in any industry if they give us a chance to lead.
Where do you see life in the next 5 years, what possibilities are ahead of you?
I am energised about the growth of Queensland Steel and Sheet and the impact it can have in our industry. Our constant development of IT is exciting and our focus on this is a crucial part of our ongoing success. I also see a natural growth for me to give back to other women, to give support to push them to their greatest self.
If you could write a letter to a 13-year-old ‘you’ what would you say?
Dear Cec,
You are stronger than you think, smarter than you give yourself credit for and capable of far more than you currently believe.
Go out there and ruffle some feathers.
What are 3 skills you have had to develop to get to where you are presently?
I have defined, worked on and listened to three areas which are emotional intelligence, natural gut instincts & confidence in my abilities.
