A while ago, I realised that although we work in teams in this industry, we don’t often connect and communicate with people outside of the work environment. I joined Top 100 Women to not only connect, but get to know other like-minded women in this industry on a personal level. I am deeply passionate and care about people, their passion and well-being.
As a big believer in ‘we can have everything we want, just not all at the same time’, I am particularly interested in how we as women in this industry can create an environment and culture where not only it is possible to break glass ceilings, have the pay that we truly deserve, but it is also possible to have the work-life-balance and time for ourselves and love ones too.
I believe by being a part of a platform like Top 100 Women it will provide the opportunity to start this discussion and find inspirations as to how we can support each other in creating the life of our dreams in this industry. I believe that there are plenty of opportunities for women in construction. It is my desire to be able to connect with more people in our industry, start the conversation and explore how we can create the change that we desire, so that we can all get there as collective.
I initially started Angela Wang & Co in 2018 with the vision to support our industry with mental health challenges. As my company evolved over the past 2 years, I am being pulled more and more towards supporting women in our industry creating a supportive lifestyle that will allow them to have the career and life that they truly desire. It gives me so much joy when I see my clients regain their sparks and passion for what they do, and being able to create a career that is not only empowering, but also supports them with their dreams.
